At around three to four weeks old, our pit bull puppies begin a big transition—from sleepy, wiggly newborns to curious, social little explorers. This is one of our favorite stages to observe and support, as it lays the foundation for everything that comes next.

At this point in their development, you’ll notice:
-
More coordinated movement—they’re learning to walk, climb, and navigate the world around them
-
Emerging social skills—pups begin playing, wrestling, and communicating with littermates
-
Improved sensory awareness—they respond to sound, light, and human voices
-
Early confidence building—we introduce new textures, soft toys, and start shaping a safe, low-pressure environment for exploration
Every litter is different, but around this age, we begin seeing glimpses of personality—who’s bold, who’s observant, and who might prefer lap snuggles over a wrestling match. These moments matter, and they help guide how we raise and place each pit bull puppy.
